It’s not for everyone: • Love triangle • Mention of an other woman (she’s dead, but every time she is brought up, it kills a bit of my heart) • There is another other woman, as well, that plays a great role in this book, and she is very much alive. I hate her, with a passion."

The beginning felt like a recap and some of the writing felt sooo mundane or felt like it repeated the same format as the other books. Although the plot twists were good per usual. One thing I picked out was how the characters were so point blank. All of the characters, every single one, felt so dull and didn’t create that connection to the reader . I could never understand any action or motive a character made because all their personalities were outdated tropes from 2014. Otherwise! I throughly enjoyed the ending. I thought it was a solid way to end the series and turn a change for the Hawthorne family."

Plus a lot of action that happens seems unrealistic while thinking about the first two books. However when thinking about this book by itself it was amazing and had the perfect mixture of mystery and adventure to keep me fairly hooked."
