"You ever read the perfect series and can’t recommend it because it’s kinda ****** up? this is like basically that series. LIKE I WOULD TELL EVERYONE TO READ THIS IF IT WASNT RLLY BAD."

"Be warned— please be in a good place reading this series. It is very easy to get consumed by the story, as it has themes that explore mental illness, existentialism and people's purpose in life. I also think although relatable at times, and easily sympathetic, the main character is meant to be challenged on his way of thinking and his choices. He is at fault for a lot of events and thoughts— he's very self-destructive as well, but written out to feel so real. (Other characters feel very raw too)"

"This series is downright unnerving. I can only read it in small batches, but I keep coming back. Great recommendation for those who like horror or suspense, mature readers only."

"beautiful. miserable. crying myself to sleep. i cant put into words how much i love this manga. if youre into dark, psychological thrillers with plot twists that dont hold back and artwork unlike anything else, youll love this story. i have a love hate relationship with the characters in the best way. you feel so much towards them and inio asano does such a beautiful job at making you feel like youre reading through a fever dream. i am obsessed‼️"

"a deep psychological evaluation of the human morale. punpun, a desperate idealist growing up in Japan, starts to begin a disturbing shift from clueless preadolescence to adulthood. instead of confronting his unrealistic outlook as an issue, his emotions arouse into a chilling and bare glimpse into the human mind. trigger warnings for gore, abuse, depression, and some more. make sure to read a little about it before deciding to read it"

"This is just so... Real. It's raw. It's filled with emotion you don't realize children go through. It really makes you think and feel for kids trying to figure out life. This is one of those Slice of Life's where not everything is sunshine and rainbows. "
