Enroll in this boarding school thriller about a group of prep school elites who would kill to get into the college of their dreams...literally."The Plastics meet the Heathers in this murder mystery about ruthless Ivy League ambition." -Kirkus Reviews "Twisty and thrilling...boarding school murder has never been so much fun!" –Kara Thomas, author of That WeekendEveryone knows the Ivies: the most coveted universities in the United States. Far more important are the Ivies. The Ivies at Claflin Academy, that is. Five girls with the same mission: to get into the Ivy League by any means necessary. I would know. I'm one of them. We disrupt class ranks, club leaderships, and academic competitions...among other things. We improve our own odds by decreasing the fortunes of others. Because hyper-elite competitive college admissions is serious business. And in some cases, it's deadly. Alexa Donne delivers a nail-biting and timely thriller about teens who will stop at nothing to get into the college of their dreams. Too bad no one told them murder isn't an extracurricular.

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This world of betrayal and college scandals is so interesting to read about during the time when everyone is gearing up for college in the fall. I probably had the suspect run through my brain at some point when I was reading but my opinions kept changing! Although I don’t think I could have ever guessed the motive for this murder. I zoomed through this book because I just couldn’t put it down."
"this was a fun read! wasn’t as predictable as i thought it was going to be and had a big reverse physiology effect on me. it was pretty spooky and i still found it enjoyable even though i didn’t like many of the characters. the end was a bit confusing tho. 4 out of 5 ⭐️ for me, def worth the read 😊 finished 1/9/22"
"Ending was meh"

"4.5 stars. I loved this book because I love dark acedemia books. Getting into an Ivy League school is cut throat business. 5 girls develop a scheme how to beat the other classmates. I y league schools only pick a couple per class and they will do anything to make sure they are going to get their choice of college."
"4.5 stars

I’ve had this one on my self since it was released in 2021 and I’m so glad I finally picked it up! This one kept me guessing throughout the entire story! One of the mysteries, I knew pretty early on but I honestly love being able to parse out the mystery before it’s revealed so that’s a good thing in my book! The main reveal was honestly insane and I can’t imagine being so desperate to get into college that you’d kill someone but to each their own I guess"
"I’ve had this one preordered for months, and I was so excited to see it show up on my doorstep today! Like any great thriller, I had to read the whole thing in one sitting. It had all the elements I truly love to see in a YA novel: Rich, conniving boarding school assholes, a broke underdog/scapegoat, and of course, a murdered girl. I love the cutthroat (/murderous) high school experience, and this one most certainly delivered the **** out of it."
"genuinely so good, such a good murder mystery and literally plot twists everywhere. So many times during the book I thought someone was the murderer, where it turns out it wasn’t. Couldn’t put it down and especially got interesting towards the middle, made my heart race. I finished the last half of the book in one day. "
"I watch Alexa Donne on her Youtube channel and this is the first book I've read from her. I expected a lot, and I was not let down. I really enjoyed Olivia's character. She's not perfect. She's never written or portrayed to be particularly brilliant in digging around. I questioned her decisions sometimes. But that's what makes her human, and I like her for that. I live halfway across the world from the US, but I've been through college admissions hell myself, though I'm sure nothing as brutal as what US students have to face. This book is so dear to me because of that. I wonder if, given the circumstances, the pressure, and the chance, I would have done the things Olivia did, and took the actions she took."
