“5 stars!!! Smart, funny, sexy and all around wonderful!” -Book Babes Unite Blog“Such a fun read! A quirky, nerdy, shy girl and a sexy, hot alpha male.” -Goodreads reviewerThere are three things you need to know about Janie Morris: 1) She is incapable of engaging in a conversation without volunteering TMTI (Too Much Trivial Information), especially when she is unnerved, 2) No one unnerves her more than Quinn Sullivan, and 3) She doesn't know how to knit. After losing her boyfriend, apartment, and job in the same day, Janie Morris can't help wondering what new torment fate has in store. To her utter mortification, Quinn Sullivan—aka Sir McHotpants—witnesses it all then keeps turning up like a pair of shoes you lust after but can't afford. The last thing she expects is for Quinn to make her an offer she can't refuse.New York Times Bestselling Author Penny Reid’s debut novel!★ AAR top 100 romances of all time ★Neanderthal Seeks Human is book #1 in the Knitting in the City series. "I love this book. It’s the billionaire trope with a quirky STEM female MC. First book in a wonderful series with great characters you can’t help falling in love with. This is one of my go to re-reads. "

"I’m halfway through and I’m not sure I can finish. The main character’s quirkiness is cute but her naivety is almost too much. I had times where I thought her character might be on the spectrum but it hasn’t been explicitly stated anywhere in the book or forums. This would’ve been an interesting take. Also, the main lead just seems straight up shady! Theres extreme miscommunication (duh, romance lol) that just has me pulling my hair!!"
"DNF - Hours in I still felt like there was too much detail and exposition."

"<strong>I wasn’t in love with the characters but loved the story. </strong><br/><br/>This was an interesting book for me. I really enjoyed the story. However, I didn’t like the characters much. Janie’s character fell a little flat to me and I couldn’t connect with her. I did like Quinn a lot but he was the only chapter I connected with. The story overall was super cute and I couldn’t put it down. Not sure if I’ll read more in this series but I will look for more by this author."

"It is a good story, but I disliked two things. First the main character is annoyingly oblivious to the obvious, it's ridiculous. Second, the author over states mantras and happenings so that it had me yelling okay okay I get the point, move on.<br/>Other than those things it was a good story and held my interest."
"What I learned quickly was despite the interesting blurb, this was anything but interesting. I found it boring and tiresome. I made it about 43% before I finally gave up because cleaning the kitchen or a toilet or two was a lot more appealing than reading this book.<br/><br/>I thought Janie would be interesting, but she's what I found tiresome. Useless facts just explode out of her mouth that almost have no relevance. While this was done to maybe try and show she's smart and well read, I thought she had some sort of brain disorder. And I never found Quinn to be hunky or irresistible either. Mostly, I thought he was up to no good, but whether or not that is true, I will never know because I couldn't bring myself to care.<br/><br/>Mostly, I was just highly disappointed with everything and had waited for that one chapter that would make it all worth while. I give up."
