"Creepy captivating weird story "

"If you were a fan of the show Dexter and his relationship with Hannah McKay, then you might enjoy this duo vigilante serial killer story. It’s got some twists and an extra helping of spice in the latter half. I felt the audiobook was done very well. It was almost like a dramatized adaptation having the two narrators voice the lines of their character instead of just their POV. Be aware of the many TWs at the beginning of the book."

"TikTok rec: I feel like this book was for specific readers. I’m huge fan of dark humor and anti-heroes and I’m not fazed by gore. I think that was what this book is supposed to be. Huge fan of “The Boys” for example. To me, it was lackluster and I got bored at like 50% and it was a struggle just to get there. I get what it was trying to be. FOR ME, it was not. Basically, I’d didn’t go far enough, like I was expecting more. I’m not saying it’s a bad read, for me, I got bored."

Spicy, Thrilling, Hilarious, Enemies to lovers with a whole lot of serial killer, cannibalism, a page turner with endless entertainment throughout.<br/>Two serial killer hunters who while running a competition/challenge with each other fall head over heels in the most bloody, gory scenes. The tension, the banter, the laughs! soooo good! Had me right at the trigger warnings! Very Quentin Tarantinoish! All for it! cannot wait for the next book."

"3.6⭐️⭐️⭐️<br/>My rating reflects both my attitude and experience and opinion of this book. <br/><br/>It’s not a bad book at all. I did find it to be boring mid way but it picks up a bit towards the end, likewise with the beginning but it saunters down. <br/><br/>Which would explain my reading window which was pretty slow compared to my average. It just took a bit effort to get into it but it wasn’t really that much of a struggle. <br/><br/>Love the main couple though they’re really cute. And I really like that they really see each other and despite seeing the lowest of each other still love each other. Because this book is contemporary I won’t say it was rushed because in contemporary standards this is good. Plus I mean they do do time skips so it is not by any means fast paced. <br/><br/>The development of Sloane is great. I would’ve liked to know what happen to Lark that was so bad that Sloane had to KILL but I know we’ll reach that in book 2"

"God I loved everything in this book.  Rowan and Sloane are a match made in heaven. Or hell. Or purgatory. Idk man, two serial killers with a penchant for killing other killers and a similar penchant for getting under each other's skin. Metaphorically of course (I had to clarify, I mean, hello, serial killers!) These two had such beautiful growth together. Their banter was fun and witty. When it finally came time for the **** scenes WHEWWWW, they were hot. I got to read some **** stuff that I never see in published works. It was so so so good. The narrators were impeccable, giving such life to the story and having exceptional chemistry and banter. Their scenes were well acted, leaving me able to FEEL what the characters felt. And oooooh boy, the **** scenes were GOOD. I was blushing and grinning and occasionally hollering to myself. This was my first duet narration book and I think it had irrevocably changes me. I worry for whatever the next audiobook I pick up, I fear it'll never be able to compare.  Tropes this book had that I loved: - Friends to Lovers - Slow burn - He falls first AND harder - Touch them and die - grumpy/sunshine (she's the grumpy one!) Definitely mind the trigger warnings! Though this book is fun and often funny, it is about serial killers. There is definitely some gore and some gross scenes. But it's so worth it! "

"**Please for your own mental health look up TW's before reading the book!! ** When this book first came out and I heard that it was a dark rom com I thought "how does that even work?" and because of that I was a bit hesitant to read the book for a while, but I am so glad I did because as soon as I did I understood what everyone was talking about. I would say I still do not understand how a dark rom com works but someway, somehow... Brynne Weaver found a way with this book!! I immediately fell in love with Sloane and Rowan and see their relationship grow. Who knew serial killers falling in love could make one giggle 🤭"
