a_a_5528 shared a tip "verdict: if ur looking for a cliché but enticing enemies to lovers with some decent Gujurati representation, this one’s a nice read. the writing was good and didn’t feel childish as with the last few romance books i have read. This being said, some of the conflicts can be a little drawn out and with obvious predictable endings. Yet, predictable does not always mean bad, and I found myself enjoying it despite knowing the trajectory. At many times, it felt like I was reading a bollywood movie. The negative aspects of strict society were emphasized, which was great, but sometimes the better aspects could be overlooked. The protagonist was also not always a great friend or partner, which is fine, if it makes her complex, but the book doesn’t really call her out on it. Overall, a fun read that tackles some serious topics (tw: SA) and would recommend wholeheartedly to gush over and set unrealistically high expectations."

Love that it is a commentary on certain social practices & attitudes that still hold women back & abuse them even. I can totally relate to the female character's family dynamics, hence this book will always be close to my ❤."

I’m a sucker for south asian representation because we rarely see it in movies, books, tv shows etc but this book has such an amazing representation of it probably due to the fact that Sajni Patel is Indian herself! It has and enemies to lovers trope and the ending of it is so god damn good AND IT HAS A PART TWO😩😩 5/5 I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes haters to lovers or if you want to learn more about south asian culture!"
