"Pretty good historical fiction. Based on true events, although heavily changed and even put in a different era. Well written as far as trillers go and historically accurate in terms of Soviet Stalin’s era set up. I am planning to read the rest of the trilogy."

"Either my first or second favorite book I have ever read! The author’s writing style is vivid yet succinct so you don’t have to skip over large sections to stay interested. Very realistic and the plot is absolutely phenomenal… the twist caught me by such a surprised I actually yelled!! Please read, it’s worth it! "

"I did like the ending (there are two sequels but the first is definitely my favorite). I just really like the dynamic of the hero being alone vs the world "

"Really interesting look at communist Russia (I learned a lot about communism through this book) and the plot keeps you coming back! I wake up at 5:30am for work and couldn’t put it down last night... 2am rolled around real quick!"
