The characters are really unlikable and they act exactly like the awful drugged up college kids I expected them to be. That being said, after a few boring tries to read it I eventually switched over to the audiobook and was able to enjoy the piece enough to finish it. I thought the plot was interesting enough but the characters are too unenjoyable for my own casual reading."

Andrew Minyard is a personal favorite of the characters, he’s brutally honest and expects that in return. I find that because of Neil’s nature (understandably) is unreliable but entertaining."

The victim doesn’t overcome his trauma immediately. The love interest doesn’t abandon his friends at the first sight of hot guy. And Nora invented an entire fake sport with a whole rules chapter in the back of the book and everything."

If you plan on reading the three books beware of the fact that it touches upon triggering topics. Also the portrayal of mental illness isn’t the most accurate."

You will not be able to put it down. It is a short read with only 3 short books. It battles with mental health, drug and alcohol use, sexual abuse, and torture so for that reason I would say to read the TWs. While you read this book you get to know and love all of the different characters!! For me, I normally don’t really like main characters but Neil’s story and personality made me fall in love with him instantly!! I read them back to back, and as soon as I finished the last book I started reading the series. I was so absorbed. Runaway child with a fake name and appearance gets scouted by a college to play exy (a made-up sport) but there is also the mafia involved and lots of murder and fighting. As I said, a mess."

He's on the run and hiding his identity as well as his past. But Andrew and the Foxes are his reason to stop running as he finds his home and family with them. I can't put the series down until I read it from book one to three. Highly recommend.
