Olivia Huie I really liked that book! I remember being unsure about the first 50-100ish pages, but really enjoyed it after that.

Connor French @olivia_huie yeah there’s definitely a LOT of backstory so it isn’t the book for everyone but I’m actually finding the history of the World Fair more interesting than I thought it would be!

Olivia Huie @homoconnor If you like books with a lot of backstory (or want to try one out) check out Say Nothing or Empire of Pain. Both of those are by Patrick Radden Keefe, and they have a lot of backstory but are SO well written. I think he’s just jumped onto my favorite authors list!
