Topic: Sankofa

I've never seen a movie with as many majestic stills as this movie. Extremely powerful and I can't even put the words to it. It feels like to "review" this movie is to inherently compare it to other works of art. It would feel like I was judging it by a superficial set of standards that are used for other works of art whose goals are beneath this. All I can do is describe it objectively: Intense, heartwarming, heart-wrenching, humbling, true...
