"There are a lot of great actors in this who-done-it. Peter Ustinov plays the role of Hercule Poirot. David Niven, Angela Lansbury, Bette Davis and Mia Farrow round out the cast of seasoned actors. I enjoyed watching the story play out: who kills the heiress aboard a luxury yacht? The story unfolded more like a stage play than a film, which was fine. But I felt more like the actors, with the exception of Peter Ustinov, Bette Davis and David Niven, were simply going from one line to the next instead of acting and making the part comfortable. But overall, I always enjoy a well written detective story, especially Agatha Christie."

If you feel the need to watch a cinematic adaptation of Christie's novel, avoid Branagh's poorly written and inaccurate attempt and watch this version instead. I mean, come on! Angela Lansbury as Salome Otterbourne is simply fabulous!"
