Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told

"A show you could check out while multitasking, but Daaang, them 90’s kids in Atlanta sure knew how to “party”😳⁉️ … 🤷‍♀️ What once originated in Atlanta by a handful of college students in 1982 as an “innocent-enough” type of “spring break” festival amongst historically black colleges and universities, eventually evolved from being a huge, fun picnic in the park, to a major party weekend with concerts, food & whatnot… THEN, eventually spiraled WAY, WAY out-of-hand & became a “freaky picnic”/peep show with lots of "booty poppin" and, uhm, “******* cutters?” (and a whole lot worse)👀🫣😖 Yup, this is one festival that DEFINITELY NEEDED TO DIE & COMPLETELY GO AWAY — Here’s my review: If you’re simply curious, or you’re young with raging hormones and “haven’t turned your life over to Christ yet,” then this show’s for you. "This was a great documentary. To see the full history of such an iconic event with so many interviews was great. It was definitely sad to watch it devolve into what it did. Would definitely recommend but trigger warning that this documentary does discuss sexual assault. "
