"This is definitely a slow burning Alfred Hitchcock drama. Cary Grant plays Johnnie, and Joan Fontaine plays Lina. Sir Cedric Hardwicke plays Lina's father. Nigel Bruce stars as Beaky, Johnnie's childhood friend. Most of the film is about the general goings on of well to do families and their social circles. Cary Grant plays against type as a suave and charming playboy who is reckless with his life. As the viewer, we constantly guess during the film what is truly going on with its main characters. The storyline is good and held my interest."
"A favorite for me. Alfred Hitchcock, Cary Grant & Joan Fontaine, what more could you ask for. "
