La Dolce Villa

"3.5⭐️ This movie is going to be exactly what you’d expect it to be. Italian scenery, attractive characters, mature love story, light plot and standard conflict throwing a small wrench in the works. I like that Netflix has been bringing middle age romance to the screen. They obviously know there’s a nostalgic audience ready to see some of our favorite 90s actors back in action. This time it’s Scott Foley from Felicity fame. Anyone who enjoyed the recent Harry Connick Jr. version of this tropey fish-out-of-water escapist genre (Find Me Falling) would probably like this one too. I’d say I liked the latter a bit more as I find Foley kinda bland. However, even though this film doesn’t have anything really new to add, it’s a pleasant, easy breezy romcom diversion that makes renovating an Italian villa look fun. "
