"I finally watched it. Was better than I thought it be. The story feels true to the reality of what happened, not completely so, but way more than the musical or cartoon. I love how it also teaches the problems of the time rather than preach them. As a viewer you see the error of everyone's ways, even the main characters but also see how kind they are too. After all, these were real people.
It surprised me in different ways and actually had some action and serious tones. I'm shocked. The characters and moments they portray seem so realistic and true. Yet still maintain a great story.
The ending is satisfying but not in the way you want. And I do mean the actual ending, not the climax. The climax was perfect.
The actual final scene is fulfilling just not satisfying since it is based on a true story after all. Not everyone gets happy endings. Despite that though, I'll definitely watch it again."
