"All time favorite. This is so inspirational in a uniquely abstract way, so ahead of its time!"

"This is one of the most interesting films I've seen in my entire life. It is subversive not just politically (which it is VERY subversive politically portraying both trans/gay characters and disruptive student protestors sympathetic) it's also subversive on a filmmaking front feeling like very few other movies I've ever seen with a narrative throughline of a familiar Greek origin mixed with other snapshots of the time period in its gay bars and counter culture and a metanarrative about the film itself.
There's much more to talk about in this than i really wanna get into in the space and time i have right now. How the interview portions are done. How gay and gender issues are tackled. More on its relationship to counter culture which is so very interesting. But I honestly don't want to spoil much. It's a wild ride and I'm going to be thinking about it for awhile and probably discussing it again sometime."

"Very transgressive film even by today's standards, inspired many films that came after it like A Clockwork Orange. And trans rep in a film from the 60s. Nice"
