"This is one of the most interesting films I've seen in my entire life. It is subversive not just politically (which it is VERY subversive politically portraying both trans/gay characters and disruptive student protestors sympathetic) it's also subversive on a filmmaking front feeling like very few other movies I've ever seen with a narrative throughline of a familiar Greek origin mixed with other snapshots of the time period in its gay bars and counter culture and a metanarrative about the film itself. There's much more to talk about in this than i really wanna get into in the space and time i have right now. How the interview portions are done. How gay and gender issues are tackled. More on its relationship to counter culture which is so very interesting. But I honestly don't want to spoil much. It's a wild ride and I'm going to be thinking about it for awhile and probably discussing it again sometime."
