"Epic.. When I saw it in the theater I loved it. In hindsight Mel Gibson creeps me out a bit and there are a lot of inaccuracies. Certain elements upset me so I don't rewatch it often. It's worth the experience of it though I recommend it on a big screen for the battle scenes alone. "
"I know this film isn’t completely accurate but what a great film just the same. "

"A rewatch. I always notice something new in movies I have seen more than once. Now, it's a possibility that this is due to my aging memory. Love or hate Mel Gibson as a person, this movie is still fantastic. Historical fiction at its best. You also notice supporting actors that have gone on to have great careers when you rewatch several times over several years, like Brendan Gleeson as Hamish."
"Although the action sequences, battle scenes, and patriotic moments of this film are unbeatably good, take this movie with a truckload of salt. I watch this movie for the iconic lines, awesome fight scenes, and the inspiring feeling it gives. That being said, if you research the historical events this film portrays, you will find that almost nothing in this film is factual or reliable. That can really ruin the storyline for you, and I believe some of the parts of this film didn't age very well. Although this is true, it's an iconic watch for people that love patriotic freedom rebellions and can overlook lots of fiction framed as history."
