"After a disappointing Quantum Solace, this is a return to form. Directed by the guy responsible for two of my all time favs, Road to Perdition and Penny Dreadful. Great opening action scene, Javier Bardem plays a cool villain and a goodbye to the great Judi Dench. The theme here is Bond fakes his own death only to be called back as a broken shell of himself. But even a less than Bond is still enough. "
"9/10 the end was basically Home Alone. Definitely my favorite Bond movie so far but also the darkest (content and overall color palette). I absolutely love Q and the banter between Bond and Q. The color palette of this movie was also so unique, such a broad range of very vibrant colors contrasted with darkness. Keeps the tone dark but still allows for gorgeous sets. The many night scenes were so well done! The fight scenes were also great, especially in Shanghai. A rare action movie that doesn’t completely rely on shaky cam and constant cutting during fight scenes. Ridiculous amounts of plot armor though."
"Great!"
