"This is a really slow and drawn out Western. It is a fictionalized story about Butch Cassidy and what may have happened in his life after he and the Sundance Kid were thought to be shot dead by the Bolivian army. History states that the two men's bodies, as well as Etta, the woman they traveled with, were never found. The story follows Butch Cassidy and a mysterious Spaniard that he meets along the way home to his remaining family. Sam Shepard, and other actors, give strong but understated performances."
