“If the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use was the rule”?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is one of the few films that always seem to get better every time I watch it. Ethan And Joel Coen subverted the expectations and rules of the thriller drama. Everytime I watch this film I manage to notice something I never noticed from previous viewings . It’s one of my all time favorite films up there with the likes of GoodFellas, Pulp Fiction and Scarface. It’s not just the narration or the expertly fleshed out characters but the dialogue omg the dialogue is just too good it’s a masterclass. Particularly Chigurh back and forward with certain characters. The “coin toss” scene is one of
the greatest pieces of dialogue ever and you can’t convince me any different. These films are what you call my holy grail of cinema. Please give me a more methodical psychotic assassin like Anton Chigurh , you will not find it. But the tone and atmosphere of NCFOM is in a league of its own. Let me remind you this is a two hour film of silence. Out of all the Cohen Bros films this is still my favorite one. I know that might be hard to believe when you have their other masterpiece Fargo (which I’ve only seen once)to compare it to. One of the best crime thrillers ever."
