After escaping with Newt and Hicks from the alien planet, Ripley crash lands on Fiorina 161, a prison planet and host to a correctional facility. Unfortunately, although Newt and Hicks do not survive the crash, a more unwelcome visitor does. The prison does not allow weapons of any kind, and with aid being a long time away, the prisoners must simply survive in any way they can.

"2⭐️ Working my way through the ALIEN franchise and not sure WHAT happened to this one. Take out all the tension, one-liners and any bit of fun and real terror, put Ripley once AGAIN in the situation of males not listening to her…only this time as the sole woman on a maximum security prison planet filled with misogynist r*pists. THEN give Sigourney awkward direction resulting in behavior out of character and oddly creepy sexual moves on the least offensive of the bunch (yuck) … and you’re left with this mess. Now I remember why this was the point where I stopped going out to see the ALIEN films. "
"It starts right where Aliens left off then it just Etch-A-Sketch shakes the ol canvas clean from there and turns into a pretty mediocre alien survival movie with an absolutely garbage looking cgi alien.
It's not completely devoid of good ideas. It feels final like it was trying to conclude the franchise... which is a cute thought that obviously didn't pan out.
I put of watching this for years so I'm glad to finally cross it off my list but it's overall pretty forgettable."
"This movie is hard to enjoy after the first two. I’m not sure what happened behind the scenes here but this is clearly a different film with the Alien franchise tagged on. The writing feels surface level as the characters lack any real connection or emotion. The most enjoyable part here is the brutality. While few and far in between, it’s the best part of the film. But it’s a low bar, too. 6/10"
"I found just “OK.” The best of all of the “Alien” movies is the second, “Alien,” (“Get away from her, you bitch!”)"
