"I am probably the only idiot that didn't know this was part of the alien series that being said even though I think it falls somewhere in the middle I am super excited to watch the rest of the alien movies. Also the surgical scene without giving to much away I had to cover my eyes and see through my fingers oh my goodness"
"Eh same as the original didn’t love it or hate it. Liked this slightly more than that.
Mainly because the creature visuals felt silly to me in the original. Not all of them but occasionally.
The characters I will be honest were not that all interesting. Well two but just because I like the actors not really their characters.
Same kind of plot as original they go to this planet. Everyone but the main character ends up dying.
I did like the design of the ship actually felt futuristic.
Cool designs of the black goo whatever it was.
Didn’t care much for the creator storyline.
Definitely won’t watch this entire series. But really want to play the game.
Honestly though if I wasn’t watching this with someone it wouldn’t be as entertaining for sure.
The gore was pretty cool but really just like gore in general. (That statement does sound strange)
Film is kind of what I will think of now for average sci fi.
Did like a lot of the tech though. And certain scenes.
Plus cool ending.
I’ll clarify didn’t hate it or love it. But I did have fun with it.

"I saw this was on Netflix and continued my revisit movie tour. Even with the “Prometheus school of running away from things”, I still love this film. I’ll just stick with 42 since this series didn’t feel like tackling the answers to the questions. I still love the questions and Prometheus asks some great ones."
"For Alien fans, this is a must. Once I learned it was a prequel to Alien Covenant, I had to see it. Star studded cast, lots of cool visuals, and helps fill in a lot of gaps about the creation of xenomorphs. Great for those that love the lore and has some complex themes of creation and purpose. Really helped me understand the overall franchise, but at times it felt there wasn't enough context so I was a bit confused and I didn't necessarily love any characters. They were all somewhat uninteresting and 2 dimensional characters we simply didn't see enough. "
