"When this first came out I loved this movie it but on further inspection it needs some work. The whole singing live thing could work if you had better singers to actually sing live, I’m sorry but Hugh Jackman’s voice is real bad in this and you can hear his voice is really struggling in the role and Russell Crowe can’t really sing at all which is unfortunate because they are the two leads! Everyone one else really carries the weight of the film and do a good job at making this movie listenable. I will say that everyone acting is good but..it’s a musical I think your voice should be good too. I mean I did find the stage musical because of this movie and that I love. But I don’t see myself going back to this move anytime soon. "

"3.5 stars. Sorry Hugh Hackman didn’t sing good enough for this role. Ann Hathaway was phenomenal as Fontine. The young boy playing gavroche was outstanding deserved an award for his part. I had always seen this performed on stage with the 10th anniversary dream cast, incredible!!! What I did like about the movie is it helped explain the scenes better things that don’t come across on stage."
