"Technically watched this for the first time about 20 years ago, but I’m rewatching it for the first time since then. Remarkably well paced, written, directed, and acted film of an important event in history, doubly so considering my passion and career in engineering. Actors were remarkably well cast as their real-life counterparts (especially Sam Shepard, Ed Harris, and Dennis Quaid). Great cinematography, editing, and score as well. Ranks up there with APOLLO 13 and the miniseries FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON as my top 3 favorite movies or TV shows focusing on real-life space exploration."
