"Coated in a sheen of style from director George P. Cosmatos and cinematographer Ric Waite that transforms L.A. into a terrifying hellscape bathed in a nauseating palette of unnatural hues from florescent lights and neon signs. Weapons are filmed in fetishistic close-up and montage. Gun blasts explode objects and propel people backwards like they got hit by a car. Amazing stuntwork throughout. Cobra shows up, shoots bad guys, gets chastised, shoots more bad guys, gets chastised again, then shoots more bad guys and gets praised. The lesson is, just keep shooting until people realize it's the best way to get things done. And it's all thrilling, well paced, and full of chuckle-inducing "dad humor." Also features one of the best car chases of the 80s."

" Cobra is one of those 80’s movies where people with no romantic chemistry suddenly have sex. With Stallone mumbling one liners through-out.
While Stallone just happens to some how know when to duck when a sniper is taking a shot at him.
Going on a violent action movie binge, Cobra was one of the weaker films. With paper thin villains who are a ax worshipping cult after the woman they didn’t get to kill."

"Really liked it. Was missing a little more grit. Just a little. Wish John carpenter directed this. He would’ve gave it that extra grit it needed. "
