"Another film of the Alien franchise worth watching taking place between the first and second films of the series, while also giving a nod to the prequels as well as the feel of being back on the Nostromo!!! Expanding on the worlds of Alien, while also showing the daily life of those who work for Wayland-Yutani, as this wayward group seeks to find a way off the corporate world and to better living on the free colonies!!"
"Just finished watching this one with my son at the theatre and found myself almost angry at the end of this film! After I've digressed ..this was an entertaining film. I found myself wanting to strangle every cast member with the exception of the robot! That kid (David Jonsson) played the heck out of his part when they let him. The girl from Transformers (Isabela Merced) was so terribly underutilized it was a shame and the lead (Cailee
Spaeny) if she was supppsed to be a Ripley type character... failed. There was a little nod to the first film in 1979 that made me quite nostalgic. I guess I wished the crew was larger and more diverse and a bit more bad ass. This was Aliens against a band of snot-nosed kids!"
"Soo.... I've actually never seen an Alien movie prior to this, but I went to theaters to see this one. It did not disappoint. Great sci-fi horror. I think it would have helped to know more of the storyline, but I didn't feel like I needed to have watched the others to understand this one. Chronologically, it is actually the direct sequel to the original Alien movie, so that was interesting. "
"Wanted to watch this for awhile, since it was released on digital it was a no brainer, I have been an Alien fan for the longest. It was the first time they have shown a human colony that's still lived in, in the Alien universe. This one feels different then the other Alien films, but most of the Aliens film have a female protagonist, so they stuck with that. Good use of the Androids on this one, they are an important part of the franchise, this time the characters were lacking though. If you like sci-fi then it's worth a watch, I had high expectations going in, but it's mostly an average experience."
"With so many great call backs to other Alien movies, this movie feels like it was pulling together a lot of links in the Alien universe. I thought it was action packed, nostalgic, and still different. Genuinely really enjoyed this addition to the universe and think it's one of the best sequels in the series. Some very disturbing scenes that stuck with me and are sure to make people who are a little freaked out by Aliens uncomfortable."
