"Another film of the Alien franchise worth watching taking place between the first and second films of the series, while also giving a nod to the prequels as well as the feel of being back on the Nostromo!!! Expanding on the worlds of Alien, while also showing the daily life of those who work for Wayland-Yutani, as this wayward group seeks to find a way off the corporate world and to better living on the free colonies!!"
"Fans of the Alien franchise should appreciate this next chapter as it pays proper homage to its predecessors, although it fails to be original and just recycles previous storylines. It takes a little while to get there, but this movie does capture some of the dark space horror aesthetic from the original. Most of the characters are forgettable with the exception of the two lead roles of Rain and Andy, played by Cailee Spaeny and David Jonsson. *Spoilers ahead* I don't know how I feel about the final act. I have mixed feelings about the Human/Xenomorph aberration. On one hand it was one of the most original things in this movie but on the other hand, it kind of made me roll my eyes. So I don't know if I love it or hate it, but it was definitely a disturbing image. Overall, we got an exciting addition to the Alien universe that had some excellent visuals, great action sequences, and some nail biting horror tension moments. Not the best, but certainly not the worst of the Alien movies. 8/10

"This cements and improves on the Alien legacy. I loved it. Scary as all get out, I audibly screamed several times. What!? It gets really, really bleak. The lofi tech is one of my favorite staples. The one button needed pressing to save the world is right there type stuff. Can’t get enough. Will be a great rewatchable because you can decide if you want to watch it acknowledging the constant, blatant subtext or just watch it cause it looks super cool and is exciting. I like to use the term right kind of cheesy. This it that to the perfect degree. It has all the greatest hits and there’s cookies and eggs all over the place. David Jonsson, from the awesome Rye Lane, gives an award worthy performance. Directed by the guy who did another fave, Don’t Breathe. Hope the same team gets a sequel. "
"Just finished watching this one with my son at the theatre and found myself almost angry at the end of this film! After I've digressed ..this was an entertaining film. I found myself wanting to strangle every cast member with the exception of the robot! That kid (David Jonsson) played the heck out of his part when they let him. The girl from Transformers (Isabela Merced) was so terribly underutilized it was a shame and the lead (Cailee
Spaeny) if she was supppsed to be a Ripley type character... failed. There was a little nod to the first film in 1979 that made me quite nostalgic. I guess I wished the crew was larger and more diverse and a bit more bad ass. This was Aliens against a band of snot-nosed kids!"
"Soo.... I've actually never seen an Alien movie prior to this, but I went to theaters to see this one. It did not disappoint. Great sci-fi horror. I think it would have helped to know more of the storyline, but I didn't feel like I needed to have watched the others to understand this one. Chronologically, it is actually the direct sequel to the original Alien movie, so that was interesting. "
