Gellert Grindelwald has escaped imprisonment and has begun gathering followers to his cause—elevating wizards above all non-magical beings. The only one capable of putting a stop to him is the wizard he once called his closest friend, Albus Dumbledore. However, Dumbledore will need to seek help from the wizard who had thwarted Grindelwald once before, his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

"This is incredibly messy. It has some cool parts with magical animals, but the brain eviscerating decisions Rowling keeps making ruins the film for me. It doesn't even follow a classical act structure, there's no stakes. We find out a secret and then the movie ends. In the next film, half of this film is ret conned anyway so it didn't even matter"
"A very well-done sequel to the first film. I watched both back to back. The sequel was just as good as the first film. Looking forward to watching the next one tomorrow, even though I heard a lot of people were unhappy with the third film, I might have a different feeling when I watch it. "

"i have never been SO confused in my life
first of all, HOW did leta lestrange go to hogwarts?? if she was born in france, wouldn’t she go- instead- to that one french magic wizarding school instead of hogwarts?? which is the british school
i don’t understand what the indonesian girl meant by the fact that grinderwald kills people “like them”, remember what she said to credence?? i don’t know if she means and it bugs me out, unless if she’s talking about half-bloods, but i’m not sure
the character development makes NO sense at all and i don’t even know how we got here, it’s like if we made a trashy version of the battle of hogwarts
in that scene when leta and the french dude were talking about their family and things, it made no sense to me cause HOW and WHY and WHAT is going on
at the end, what the hell did scamander have and what is it’s significance? it was probably mentioned in the main series but i really don’t know WHY he (not scamander) agreed to that with him (not scamander, you’ll know who if you watched it)
what i know from this is- i think- it’s probably like the origin of the death eaters or something similar cause idk what in TARNATION it is, think of the acolyte in like harry potter terms"
