"REWATCH: This is arguably one of Greta Gerwig’s best films, and in my opinion, her masterpiece. It’s so hard to adapt a classic novel and make it feel modern while staying true to the source material, but Gerwig does it flawlessly. The entire movie is gorgeously brilliant, from the dialogue to the symbolic editing to the color grading to the acting. My God the acting! This ensemble of actors are some of the best and there is not one weak performance in this film. The obvious highlights are Saoirse Ronan and Florence Pugh. Both of their respective monologues are prime examples of how a lengthy monologue can be riveting when given the right performer. My Roman Empire is the fact that Florence Pugh was snubbed for the Oscar of Best Supporting Actress. It takes real genuine talent to transform one of the most hated characters in literary history into a character people sympathize with and will literally go to bat for online. That statuette should have been hers."

"I like many adaptations of this film. My one criticism is I found myself confused with all the jumping back and forth in time. Had to watch a couple of times to get it."

"I did enjoy this adaptation of the classic story, but the 1994 film will always be my favorite. Nothing beats a cast of Claire Danes, Winona Ryder, Susan Sarandon, Christian Bale, and a very young Kirsten Dunst. A tale of 4 sisters growing up in 19th century New England learning their way in a man's world. There is love, heartbreak, dreams, and death. ❤️ Classic storyline, with new actors. "
"A really well made film adaptation. Really enjoyable viewing experience. Fantastic performances, production design, costumes, score and especially cinematography (the use of color filters for letting the viewer know regarding timeline was a masterful touch). The family dynamic of the Marches was truly incredible to see, and it brought back a lot of childhood memories for me growing up with my cousins. Legitimately intrigued to seeing how Greta Gerwig pulls off BARBIE."
