The animation is lacking, the backgrounds are cribbed from jungle book and Winnie the Pooh, there’s recycled bits from pretty much everything. And I don’t care. The animators did what they could on a nothing budget and a terrible studio head and the end product is scrappy and heartfelt. Steal from the wellbudgeted films and give to the poor, say I."

"One of my absolute favorite Disney films for its Olde English setting animation, plot that has romance, (Maid Marian), potential treason, subterfuge, disguises, humor, fear of our hero being caught & ultimately good conquering evil! Also has a soundtrack w/2 of my favorite songs including the rooster narration & song refrain “Oo-De-Lally” heard throughout & “Love.” I can never get enough of the whiny thumb sucking Prince John & the duplicitous antics of his sidekick snake, Sir Hiss. Little John & Robin Hood’s rebellion against overtaxation leads them to steal $ back & return the gold to the poor (my fave being to the rabbit family-w/the little girl who has a crush on Robin & Skippy who is gifted a bow and arrow/hat for his bday from Robin Hood).❤️"
