"I've loved this movie for as long as I can remember, despite its many flaws. It's just a creepy chaotic mess with a bunch of really cool ideas. Pyramid head looks great and has one of the most brutal scenes in the whole movie. The ending leaves a bit to be desired but the movie is worth a watch."

"I honestly think that there is no better video game movie. In most video game adaptations, you could swap out the brand for something completely new and it'd still be the same. But with Silent Hill, you get rid of the Silent Hill elements and there's no movie."

Gone are the subtle horrors, immaculate characters and haunting mystery of the first game—instead, everything needs to be spelled out to us because the filmmakers think the audience are idiots. While I’ve since cooled off on Harry being replaced by Rose (even if it was for sexist reasons), it doesn’t really do the rest of the cast any favors anyway. When Silent Horrors (a fan film PARODY starring Captain S of all people) is more accurate to the source material, you might need to take the time for an extra draft.
