I love this author. The story is well rounded because of the parallels. it displays grief and family dysfunction realistically, and i could easily picture myself in each characters shoes. something inside me wants to describe this book as lighthearted-though its really the opposite.

Sucked me in immediately. Read it in one sitting. Incredibly well done, perfect for anyone interested in suspense, kidnapping, and murder. It was like watching a movie.

Confused me at first, and i didnt fully understand until i finished the book. It was interesting enough for me to read all the way through, and i would read it again, but it is not what i had hoped considering the hype its being given

Extremely captivating. The representation in this book is the best ive come across so far. And when i thought i knew what to expect, the deaths were still heart wrenching. This author knew exactly how to paint a perfect picture, and then destroy it. It felt like watching someone blow out your birthday candles.
