"I grew up with the original, and I’ve always been a fan, so I really didn’t want to watch this lol. There are a lot of people saying this reboot was unnecessary. I disagree. It’s very well-cast with clearly awesome actors, its not so far away from the vibe and story of the original that it gets lost, not so close that it feels like a waste of time. Jabari Banks is truly amazing in this role. He manages to capture the will smith-isms, which brings us all a certain throwback feel. To be fair I have not finished it all yet, but I’m well into the 2nd season. Unless they muck it up real bad in the end, I can confidently say I love this one. If you are expecting non-stop laughs, just skip it. There are definitely laughs, but it’s a drama, so go in expecting 3/4 drama and 1/4 laughs. It’s ruul good and ruul well done tho yall 👍"

"Good show advocating for better family communication, being there for your family, following your dreams, and finding yourself. Very sweet moments. Absolutely incredible performance by Marlon Wayans. Not at all like the original show, they have their own spin. Carltons character development is fantastic. My *only* complaint [*SPOILER ALERT*] is that Lisa is Carltons ex, which made me like and respect will a WHOLE LOT less. Very trifling and dirty of him to do his own cousin like that. What a trash cousin. Overall pretty good with some feel good moments"

"Such a great reboot"

"The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, a cult classic tv show of the nineties that generated Will Smith, one of the world's biggest movie stars, gets a fresh new modern makeover called "Bel-Air." The show follows Will Smith, a young, intelligent teen whose life changes after he moves to his wealthy uncle's home in LA after an incident in his hometown. The show has a dark tone to it. Making the Fresh Prince original tv show, a sitcom and comedy, look like a more excellent version. The show had great acting overall and some great story plot lines. It asks, "What if Fresh Prince took Will's situation more seriously?" This is a great series, yet I wish it were not based on Fresh Prince. Suppose this was the same show with original characters, not a remake. This would be amazing. I hate that they reimagined some of the characters to something they were not in this modern take. I wouldn't say I like the fact that there is a love triangle between Lisa, Will, and Carlton. In the original series, which I have watched many times still to this day. Carlton had a minor crush on Lisa, which was played for laughs. It was not serious. I am tired of love triangles in movies and feel like the trope has been overused. However, the series itself is okay. I do rate this series a 2.5/5. (Follow for more in depth reviews for this app only @shislay16 )"
