"Man I could rant on how this show is almost as boring as Ergo Proxy. The show uses Literal exposition dumps of information about computers, conspiracy theories, philosophy, and the like. But somehow this show is cohesive because the protagonist through her actions dips into all of those topics. So let’s all love lain. 😊 "
"7 episodes after starting today and I myself really like it. The story can feel a little disjointed with how the plot progresses but I think it doesn’t take away from it. Excellent atmosphere, cyberpunk vibes , and tech social commentary of course . I know this kind of thing isn’t for everyone but I think , for example , if you liked ergo proxy definitely at least give this one a shot ! "
"I really enjoyed this and I'm curious what people who have spent more time than me thinking about it have to say about it. Something striking that i noticed without getting into spoilers is how much this show does with so little. The budget was obviously SUPER tight. There are a lot of minimalistic backgrounds and heavy use of white space that the show used to not only establish atmosphere and place but it's own unique, recognizable art style. Plus it brings in other mediums like photography and early 3D renders in appropriate places. "
"I love this series so much it is a great anime it is very confusing at times but for me that just adds to why I love it so much. While you are watching it you kinda think to yourself “where is this even going” or “what even just happened” but I personally love stuff like that. I remember watching this show when I was younger maybe 12 and it was one of the shows that got me into anime in the first place highly recommended!"
