"Incredible psychological sci-fi/fantasy action drama. Beautiful art and animation. Brilliant character designs. Plot is highly compelling through episode 8. After that, more and more sci-fi elements are added to the plot that seem to muddle things, but by the end of the special episode ("My Priority") that serves as the finale, it mostly lands on its feet. However, I'd love to see what happens after the special. ALL THE TRIGGER WARNINGS, though I think it handles its subject matter pretty well."

"I loved the animation and the characters that were portrayed in this anime. The plot was interesting but at the end, it got kind confusing, and the ending didn't really do it for me, not even the special episode since I feel like the ending was kind of a cliff hanger."

The explanation for what’s going on (w/o spoilers) ruined any good message it had, and even within con text of the story went completely off the rails. Might be worth watching still for some people for the start and the stellar animation."
