"4.5⭐️ Welp I’m really happy with this reboot though not everyone will be. It’s not the original SATC and why would it be! They’re all 25 years older as are all of us that watched when it first shook us with groundbreaking honesty and fashion choices lol. Our gals have grown and changed. They’ve gone through some things yet still remain the essence of who they are. It also retains the signature humor and snappiness while going deeper in a lot of ways. The first season is a moving essay on loss and grief, handled spectacularly and beautifully acted. However life does move forward and the second season gets lighter. I for one was thrilled by the return of a certain character (and WILL be devastated if it goes south 😫😖). As far as the new characters go..they each fit in seamlessly as far as I’m concerned and what they bring to the table is perfect. And honestly?..I didn’t miss Samantha that much. She was always a little over the top for me 🫣😂). But I’ll still be glad to see her should she find her way back in season 3. Yes there are a few minor irritations but they didn’t get in the way of the joy experienced revisiting the frothy world of Carrie and the gang. "

"UPDATED FURTHER BELOW As I've seen all the episodes & movies thus far, of course I'm watching this, & I've seen the first 2 episodes of S2 that are out at this time. I like that they showed a different part of the country in S2. They're not the same and older now, but that's similar to how life is, ever-changing. There are plenty of familiar faces as well as new faces, and new drama with the outrageous clothes/jewelry/shoes... For those waiting to binge, I see the S2 finale with E11 is set for 08.24.23.
