She meets a German soldier and former orphan along the way, too, who she shares a sweet, deep connection to. This is truly a special series, which just goes to show that light can only be found when we know where to look for and access it. And it is frequently found and sought after, as a tempering, brilliant force, in unexpected places and moments, which can be healing immediately or over time. "
