"I had read the book, which is amazing, sometimes an adaptation of a book you love can be disappointing. That’s not the case here—the series is just as good. The actor who plays von Rumpel, a Nazi gem hunter and the villain in the story, is especially memorable."

"I have no idea what all else this story set in WWII will entail, but the storytelling is wonderful, and so far I’m absolutely mesmerized, and the relationship between the little blind French girl, Marie, and her papa is so precious & lovely 💕 "

"What a good watch. Everyone just makes the whole thing good. The Hoffman kid has been great since I saw him in Dark. Didn't drag and was a good length imo"

"This show is so sad, but so beautiful. 8/10 only because it was a little slow during a few parts "

"A haunting, beautiful story of sacrifice, hardship, and hope amidst the devastating backdrop of war. Marie is one to celebrate through and through as she perseveres through living with blindness. She uses her other senses to live and love, which is gorgeously explored while she navigates the difficulty and obstacle-oriented nature of the world around her. She tunes in to a professor on the radio who remains her guiding light and sole solace for a long time as she grapples with life and personal and more national identity. She meets a German soldier and former orphan along the way, too, who she shares a sweet, deep connection to. This is truly a special series, which just goes to show that light can only be found when we know where to look for and access it. And it is frequently found and sought after, as a tempering, brilliant force, in unexpected places and moments, which can be healing immediately or over time. "

"Although I enjoyed the story, I found this movie way too slow moving and got bored. Didnt get somewhat interesting to be until ep3. Maybe it’s just me… 🤷🏼♀️"
