"🌟6/10🌟 BOTTOM LINE: This new #Netflix #TV14 #comedy series is just mediocre & nothing special, imo, so it’s one I won’t be continuing on with.
▪️With its title & premise, I was expecting UNSTABLE to be similar to SHRINKING (on AppleTV), but it’s not. (Check out SHRINKING — it’s a much better show)
▪️Each of the cast members in UNSTABLE are fine & are a good fit for the quirky, endearing characters they’re portraying, but the subtle attempts at humor often fell flat with me, BUT…… **
▪️Here’s something interesting:
** The actor that plays Rob Lowe’s SON in this is ROB LOWE’S REAL-LIFE SON."
" ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This goofy show just shot to the top of my favorite sitcom list! First it’s brilliantly cast with all the actors absolutely perfect in their roles and elevating the already hilarious writing. It had me literally laughing out loud during every episode which is something I don’t normally do a lot of. Rob Lowe really surprised me the most. I know he’s done a lot of comedy but this character is next level for him and you can tell he’s having so much fun with it. Overall it’s a witty fizzy feel good binge that goes down quick and easy, just right for people who miss The Good Place and Schitt’s Creek. I got invested in the characters in the same sort of cozy way. "
"Funny show to put on in the background. Little to no substance and the acting is not great, but it's an easy watch. Rob Lowe plays a larger than life tech CEO that is completely unhinged (make you think of someone...?). The show details his antics with his son by his side who loves and resents him in equal measure. "
"**Season 2 premiering Aug 1st on Netflix** WOW I loved this so much, and it was so funny, I legit felt caught off-guard. Rob Lowe (who I already love so very much) and his son John Own Lowe co-star in this very short character-driven 8-episode series. I know they are family, but even so yall I haven’t seen such truly organic comedic chemistry like theirs since like Ferrel and Reilly. Rob Lowe plays an eccentricly brilliant-minded scientist whose wife (and best friend ever) recently died. He understandably goes a little haywire in a lovable and laughable way, and in an attempt to help him get through this time with career unscathed, his assistant coaxes his somewhat estranged son to come back to town to see him. Every single character in this story is individually hilarious, this was so well-cast and so well-written…just please don’t let this one pass you."
"Well written, funny, and relatable!"
