"I went into this series somewhat blind, not knowing much other than an aspiring comedian has an obsessed stalker. The first few episodes are kind of light hearted with just a touch of a dark edge to it. But then things get really dark and pretty heavy and I guess I just wasn't ready for that. We get to learn that Martha the stalker isn't the only one who is "troubled", Donnie is truly the one who has the most issues. What makes it more disturbing is that it's a true story. But it's definitely a binge worthy series with just 7 half hour episodes. I'm not exactly sure that I liked it overall but it definitely kept me interested. 7.5/10"
"This was a good show and I do love anything with good British actors. I thought this was only going to be about stalking! I hadn't prepared myself for the rest of it. I kept going and at the end realized this was a heavy trauma story and the stalking was simply the appetizer. Had I known more I probably wouldn't have watched this one but people were going crazy about and I love that main British actress but yeesh! Netflix watchers really can keep a secret about a show when they want everybody to watch it! "
"Oh. My. GOD. I always love a true story, as well as a good stalker film/series….i must say this one was unparalleled. Very well-acted, well-written, visceral, and quite the surprise since I did not go in knowing anything about the story beyond “this guy has a stalker.” I refuse to give anything away, but I highly recommend you binge this 7ep Netflix gem *immediately.* This poor man’s life is really entertaining 👍"
"Cmon Netflix this is what I’m talking about. This story is like a bad car accident. No matter how horrible it is you can’t look away. It’s been a while since a tv series on Netflix actually made me want to binge. Which is something I don’t do anymore. This took me back to my Orange is the New Black days how every episode was addictive and kept me glued to the tv. Just when I thought the story was going one way i got hit with a whiplash. This isn’t your run of the mill stalker story. The fact it’s real and actually based off a true story just adds to the lore. The comedian Richard Gadd who is the main character is playing a version of his true self. I don’t think you can get any more genius than that. I went in completely blind and I urge anybody who wants the best experience to do exactly the same. The less you know the better. Warning it’s going to take you to dark places this ain’t for the faint of heart."

"spoiler alert. Where do I begin? Goodness gracious. Give me more stars!!! All emotions went through me. I laughed so hard, then I got angry, then I was sad, then I was empathetic all in one and sometimes in a single setting. I found myself loving Martha, finding her cute and funny, to then being scared of her in a single second, then sorry for her then angry at her. It’s unbelievable that anyone can go through such trauma, yet continue to want more indirectly. I started finding the lines of the abuser and victim being blurred. Donny made mistakes but easy for me to say when I’m not in anyone’s position to know what he was going through - he felt sympathy and empathy which ended being the beginning of the end of him. Martha has serious mental health issues and should have received enforced mental support at the time the first incident became news. Once again a failure of justice and policing system. To think Donny had a somewhat a normal life to one incident of abuse, had his life turned upside down and becoming a person who needed significant mental health support. Jessica Gunning is a goddess, goddess of acting - by far above any actress so far. Last comment: What’s up with the spelling mistakes?!! 10/10"
