"Despite not thinking it’s good (the exception being the fantastic s1 finale), I haven’t been able to stop watching. The seasons get progressively off the rails (s3 is a mess), but the all-star cast and big budget production reel me in."

"I’m only on S1, E6 of The Morning Show (TMS), but, Gosh!…I like this show a lot. This peek behind the scenes of a major TV network morning news show is such a “cut throat world” full of drama, office politics, personality & power dynamics, angst, and cringe… It’s hard NOT to keep thinking about all the recent morning show scandals, like the firing of Matt Lauer for sexual misconduct, the firing of GMA3 co-anchors T.J. Holmes & Amy Robach for their alleged romance & extramarital affair which was blasted all over the tabloids, etc., etc… AND I’m so glad I never worked in the spotlight or in a “pressure cooker” like this where the end-goal is all about the TV ratings. This series makes the people behind the scenes seem either ruthless, exhausted, or angry half the time—but most ARE also decent people, too, thank goodness 😅 But, boy, they sure get “worked up” over a lot of issues! I suppose that’s why the people that DO work in these positions earn the BIG BUCKS — especially the network anchors who gotta live under a microscope and gotta put up with A LOT of emotional & political B.S.😣 Anyhoo, GOOD SHOW, good drama, good tension, lol 👍🏾 ▪️One of my favorite characters is Maggie Brenner (played by Marcia Gay Harden) — who’s a journalist often reporting on the goings-on at UBA (the fictional network) & TMS. She’s a fascinating character because she lures juicy tidbits out of her interviewees, she’s also kinda “mean,” (🙊) and always asks leading questions that suggest she already knows what’s REALLY going on behind the scenes anyway😉 "

"3.5 stars for first season 2.5 for second season and 3 stars for third season. It’s pretty uneven. But I am still hoping they will figure it out."

"Good show. Each season feels a little bit different, but the storyline feels relevant and the acting is superb. Not for those who want to escape reality, as there are many politically relevant topics addressed in the show (obviously in a very fictional way). "

"When I first heard of The Morning Show there was quite a buzz about it. I was intrigued but unfortunately didn't have Apple at the time and promptly forgot about it. Now I just wrapped Season 1 and despite being pretty late to the show (pun intended) have to say that it still deserves all the buzz it got when it first aired. Coming out on the heels of the Me too movement The Morning Show does an amazing job of depicting sexual workplace misconduct and how it becomes ingrained, tolerated, excused and even defended. All of this without giving in to the temptation of painting people in black and white but instead digging into the messiness of human relationships. I especially loved seeing such a range of complex (and flawed) female characters. Truly excellent writing. Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup and Steve Carell and really every single supporting cast member in this show are outstanding. 10 out of 10"

"The first season was riveting and highly binge worthy. Season two is underway and just as good in a different way. The social tension and cut throat politics of the network provide a microcosm of the world stage.
