Agatha Christie
First there were ten--a curious assortment of strangers summoned as weekend guests to a private island off the coast of Devon. Their host, an eccentric millionaire unkonwn to all of them, is nowhere to be found. All that the guests have in common is a wicked past they're unwilling to reveal--and a secret that will seal their fate. For each has been marked for murder. One by one they fall prey. Before the weekend is out, there will be none. And only the dead are above suspicion.

"Slow beginning but it did pick up. Loved the ending. Definitely see why it’s a classic."

"A classic murder mystery by Agatha Christie. Ten people with no connection are brought to a remote island for different reasons. Christie does a great job introducing personal details and deep back stories for the many characters, and we follow them as the mystery crystallizes and tension increases. Christie writes the characters with great care, enabling wonderful actors to embody them so richly. The structure of the story surprised me, and I was all in quickly."
