"I watched this with a friend of mine who is a former Marine. Half way through he was visibly upset but insisted we finish it. We had a long discussion afterward. Recommended but tread lightly. "

"This was such a visceral depiction of modern warfare. At times it almost felt too real. With its purposefully shaky camera work and realistic dialogue, it could be mistaken as a documentary in some scenes. Like the name suggests, each of the central characters experiences the unique pains and discomforts of working and being trapped in a war zone. Jeremy Renner’s character’s journey was especially intriguing as he almost finds comfort in battle, as it’s his new normal and he doesn’t know how to convert back to an average citizen. The film was very well done, but it made me so incredibly discomfited. I especially felt this way in the body bomb scene."
