"Devastating and sobering. Viggo Mortensen (my love) as a nameless man embodies humanity and it's ability to push through devastation regardless. In order to protect his son he keeps going even at great risk. In the end, I wept. This is based on a book by the same name by Cormac McCarthy. Highly recommended. "

"1st rewatch since it came out in 09. Based on the very uniquely written book by Cormac McCarthy. I remember when I first saw it I was disappointed. It definitely isn’t an action movie, like most post apocalyptic flicks, but instead a bleak, brutal and probably more realistic story than any of the others. It doesn’t really have a plot. Just a man and his very young son trying to survive. A+ cast, mostly in cameos, including an incredible one by Robert Duvall. Not a fun watch but mesmerizing nonetheless. "

"It’s hard for me not to enjoy this type of movie. Felt like I was playing the last of us again. It’s not for everyone for sure. It’s really slow and their honestly isn’t too much tension. Just a few moments. It’s really just somber and somewhat hopeful. I enjoyed it."
