"A dark, artsy film that I know see why it was so divisive amongst viewers. Interesting imagery , and acting is pretty good too imo. Definitely won’t be for everyone especially with the turn at the end. If more graphic scenes bother you this also won’t be for you. Movies like this I won’t necessarily say I “enjoyed it “ but for me it was captivating enough. 7.5/10 roughly for me . "
"This movie might not be for everybody but if you get the full interpretation then it’s a excellent movie"

"I wasn’t really disturbed much by this movie. I am just desensitized honestly but nonetheless didn’t think it was overly gory. I honestly thought It was fine. I did not really care for Jack and Verge’s discussion much but didn’t mind it. I really just started zoning out when they were talking about their interpretations of art and such. Maybe I just didn’t get it but for me I just found it boring and pointless. I cared mainly for the murder plot and Jack himself during those scenes. Even with just the murderer scenes and not everything else, it’s an alright movie. Again I mainly just cared for the murders and jack himself. Also I want to see this definitely Isn’t the most entertaining movie. But for me it is a very interesting one. Then there’s the ending. Honestly the ending really ruined it for me. If not for the last 30 minutes I would have enjoyed it a lot more. It really just felt out of place and I honestly hated it. You go from this serial killer disturbing to going to hell. Just made the movie feel ridiculous. "
"SPOILERS. I'd like to express my interpretation on the end of this movie and see if anyone agrees with me. Specifically the last couple of minutes when Jack tries to escape and fails. Virgil tells him that many have tried to escape that way and failed. He also telks Jack that he is meant to go to a circle of hell a few circles up--a place that is probably not as terrible as the lower circles. My theory is that the bottom circle of hell, the pit, where Jack fell, exists only for those who try to escape. I think that the message is that trying to escape your fate is the worst sin you can commit, and if you try, you will receive the worst punishment hell has to offer. Anyone else think the same? "
