"I was a big fan of the series, so it's great to have some closure for the long and illustrious tale of Uhtred. The movie didn't disappoint, but they did pack a lot into this story, I may have to watch it again to make sure I got it all. The final battle was great though. My only complaint with the series and the movie is that Uhtred doesn't age! His kids have grown into full adults and kings have come and gone and he still looks the same as he did at the beginning of the series. WTF?!!! That's a pretty big pill to swallow. At least in Vikings, they aged Ragnar for the sake of believability. But still, a great show and the movie finished things up nicely. 8.5/10 "

"So I watched this movie not knowing it was the sequel to a five season series. I think it actually works as a stand alone movie, but it makes more sense now that I know I didn't have all the background info."
