"One word sums up this movie: entertaining. Don't ask for more than that. Any time I see Sam Rockwell in the cast, I know that the role he plays, and the movie will be entertaining. Sam's roles have a funny yet awkward vibe with a little bit of drama. That's exactly what this movie is. Bryce Dallas Howard stars is a novelist of the spy drama series Argylle. Sam Rockwell meets her along the way, and Samuel Jackson is a cool dude, the type of role he likes to play in some of his movies. There were a few twists in the plot that didn't make sense, but this being the entertaining movie that is, who cares. I will probably watch this again because in a way it really is like a comfort movie, a popcorn movie that I can sit down and watch and laugh out loud. I suggest you do the same."

"This movie was a lot of fun. As silly and unrealistic as it was, it still kept me engaged and fully entertained, even when I was rolling my eyes during certain scenes. Bryce Dallas Howard was a delight and I always enjoy Sam Rockwell in most everything he does. Lots of twists and turns in this one , and at times you might catch yourself saying out loud, "C'mon, are you kidding me?", at how ridiculous things get. But if you can accept that this movie is not meant to be taken seriously, then you should be able to enjoy it for the goofy fun that was intended, with its many cliches and all. And Alfie the cat was a fun addition. 8/10"

"I waited so long to watch this spy action/comedy because of the horrible reviews. I can see why. The 2:20 run time, the convoluted quadruple cross script, the waste of Henry Cavill, the unbelievable silliness. But it’s still fun in parts, funny in others and has a cool cast. Who doesn’t love Sam Rockwell and a never sexier Bryce Dallas. I smiled several times thinking this is the exact kind of movie my mom would’ve loved. So that bumps it up for me. "

"This was definitely a new take on the spy genre. Overall, I did enjoy the movie. But I also didn't take it too seriously. Did I think the dancing scene with rainbow smoke bombs was absolutely ridiculous? Yes, yes, I did. Did I find ice skating on an oil slick to be extremely unrealistic and weird? You betya. Did I also laugh my butt off and was I caught by surprise by one or two twists? Yes I did and yes I was! I recommend watching with no preconceived notions or expectations for the best viewing experience and form your own opinion. "

"How many cliche twists and tropes can we fit into one movie. They rip off Romancing the Stone, The Lost City, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Winter Soldier and who knows how many others. There’s like 7 different double crosses to the point where it isn’t surprising anymore. It’s a fun watch and all but way too much. It would have benefited from some simplification. "

"Enjoyable watch, even if chock full of cliches."

"Okay, that was certainly something. I honestly can't tell if it was a Lost City spin-off, kingsman spin-off, fever dream, or a really weird satire. Either way, it truly did its own thing. As I told my friends, it's a hallmark movie, mixed with a Michael Bay film, meets Hairspray. Hallmark because it's predictable as all heck while trying to be unique & profund. Michael Bay because it had the excess action to hide certain storytelling techniques as well as the horrible CGI to person crossovers. Then the hairspray part because the actress was "fat". In fact, she got skinnier near the end when she became less herself. (Can't say exactly when without spoiling) but she even has a skinny stunt double for one moment at the beginning when running through the train. Kind of ridiculous. However, they are truly pushing towards their target audience. Women on the plus side, Cat lovers, writers themselves, & just middle aged women. They think doing this will hook those people on the story even if it won't. It's also cringe incarnate through a lot of moments. But it did make for some funny moments you'll laugh at & others you just want to skip. The wardrobe and hairstylists also need a pay decrease. At least the hairstylists for every character but side ones and especially the wardrobe for our main character. The dress at the end did no favors. Despite it all though, it's not horrible. There are good moments and the concept is there even though they didn't have the proper writing to get it done. The visuals are good and the statements it makes are definitely trying. It just gets lost in all the force feeding. You feel really bad for the cat a majority of the time even though a majority of that time it is the most CGI cat since Azlan. They really couldn't even try to get a real cat to act out normal cat moments. Clearly they wanted to appeal to cat lovers but hated them or thought we were stupid. Overall, a fun time for most of it, the rest just take with a grain of salt. Enjoy "
