The story of Nina, a ballerina in a New York City ballet company whose life, like all those in her profession, is completely consumed with dance. "Back swan is very Competent psychological thriller with a very good cast. The struggle of doing art with your body and the toll that can take on someone mental health is very real so that’s makes this even more spooky. Also a very well represented Codependent relationship and how that can feel to one just trying to break free and live their life."

"I love this movie, and not just because I'm a dancer and can really appreciate the dance aspect. The plot and story was beautifully written, and Natalie Portman's acting was on point. Also, shout-out to Sarah Lane, the dance double, for for gorgeous dancing in this film. (Yes, Natalie did dance training for this film, but I don't think Sarah gets enough recognition as Natalie's face was edited on for the full body dancing shots.)"
