"This movie made me uncomfortable, disgusted and enraged. It was exploitative. It was simply the male fantasy of Marilyn put to screen. Ana De Armas put on a good performance with what she was given, but even she was unwatchable at times. Every other scene she was crying, contemplating ending her life, calling someone daddy or being sexually abused by the men in her life. They dumbed down her life to being about her having extreme daddy issues and I thought it was hugely disrespectful. On top of all that, they had the nerve to film her death scene in Marilyn’s ACTUAL HOUSE. This movie is a disgrace. No one deserves to have their life turned into a fictionalized joke, least of all Marilyn, who pleaded with the public to take her seriously. Marilyn Monroe, if you can hear me… haunt Andrew Dominik and Joyce Carol Oates’ asses."
"It’s undeniably long, nearly three hours in length. It’s bloated and self-indulgent. It’s occasionally grotesque in its parade of tragedies. But it’s also the kind of movie that will make a lot of people feel seen in a way that they don’t normally get to be seen, so really, this movie is for them.
I’m okay with that."
"I think it's pretty objective to say Ana De Armas did really well in this role and that the movie sucked anyway. It was insanely slow (explaining it's long runtime) and had many questionable choices (including the insane amount of female only nudity). This is in no way a tribute to Marilyn Monroe, or Norma Jean if you prefer, and it's definitely not a feminist movie. Honestly, I wish I just hadnt watched it in the first place."
"To be honest the series was much better than this movie it was kind of boring and her acting was mediocre"

"I Was So Excited For This One Whk They Casted As Marilyn Monroe Spot On Acting Spot On Gorgeous Stunning. The Rest Was A Trainwreck And A Disrespect. It was also a massive let down and Dissapointment. Watch my week with Marilyn for a true beautiful portrayal of a small pocket of Marilyn's life ."
"I have mixed feelings about this movie. The Marilyn I know was through movies, she was sexy, cute and bubbly. In reality Norma Jean was a smart woman but abused by the entertainment industry. The movie was rough to see how she was abuse in so many ways trying to find acceptance in a men’s world. So it was one of those people to only seen once and with time forgotten. The way her life ended was sad and only God knows how she departed this world. Now she is free."
"Ana de Armas should definitely win an Oscar for this role but this was often hard to watch. I know of Marilyn Monroe but don’t know much of her life so this was interesting. I am definitely going to do read up more about her but if this is mostly based on facts…bless her heart. She went through a whole lot."
