With a premise like “guy dates sex doll and thinks she’s real” I expected the movie to poke fun at itself, or at Lars, or lean into sexual humor. It doesn’t, at all. Instead what you get is a heartwarming and, at times, heartbreaking story that loves and understands its characters. The movie understands Lars, and takes the time to make sure you understand him too. I love this movie; it’s as genuine as it gets."

This heartwarming movie is a great example of this Sentiment! Lars himself is a very relatable person being Autistic myself, being awkward and not truly understanding others but also forced to Participate And understand them without them understanding you.
