Mad Max 2

"This movie was just alright. There is an extremely simple plot, with factions pitted against one another for fuel and other scarce resources. Mel carried most of this film on his back, and it shows at times. There were strange gaps in the film, and a villain that didn't make much sense. The plot is stretched out over the runtime, so that we can see the tricked out muscle cars and vehicles used for the action sequences. But I guess that is Mad Max for you! Off-kilter characters and even more lopsided action. It was fun seeing Virginia Hey from Farscape in a small role."

"3.5⭐️ Rewatch. I still really enjoyed it but it’s better in a movie theater. In 1981. Mad Max is an all-time great character and George Miller created such a distinct world. Hard to believe he’s the same man responsible for Happy Feet and Babe: Pig in the City (both great too!)"

"This is where Mad Max truly turns into Mad Max and I’m here for it! This isn’t my favorite of the movies but it is a good starter to the chaos of this world and all the apocalyptic S&M gangs your little heart could ask for! What I love about Mad Max is nothing is told to you, you have to figure out how things work by listening but mostly by watching! There’s a rich world and story being told but it doesn’t hold your hand about it. "
