"I love everything about this movie, the costumes, the music, the story, the drama and the romance. It was sad that at the end she finally saw the man she married and that he was a magnificent human being, unfortunately a tragedy happens. She is from a privileged family that always got what she wanted and she ends up marrying a man she thought wasn’t excited. Little by little they both learned something from each other and they fall deeply in love. Not gonna lie, I cried."

"Never has a period drama film struck me at the core more than this one. Edward Norton & Naomi Watts portray such a sheer heartbreaking intense lovestory that's unforgettable. I honestly cry long past the end credits when I watch this one. It's a brutal tearjerker & it never lets up w/it's raw, moving storyline. "

"Any movie with Ed Norton is an automatic win for me, this movie has beautiful cinematography and a tragic love story. It’s like The Notebook, you have to stop and watch it every time you find it channel surfing. #chefskiss "

"A movie full of reminiscence for me, even as I had first watched it all those years ago. It's not something you ever forget (at least for me), as I always remember and long for it throughout my life. This seems like an exaggeration, but to me personally, it really hits the spot. Wish I could find other works similar to this (in feels. In tone.), but have never had the luck. For first time viewers, beware. This is considered a tragedy... Albeit worth it. "
